A very warm welcome to the Office of the Warren County Clerk!!
With duties and responsibilities as Clerk of the Supreme and County Courts, Recording and Filing Officer of the County, Warren County Records Management Officer, and as Agent to New York State’s Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, Commissioner of Taxation and Finance, Division of Criminal Justice, the Lake George Park Commission, and the U. S. Department of State Passport Services, the County Clerk’s Office impacts the personal and/or business life of each and everyone of us!
From one's first drivers permit at the tender age of 16 or registering a new vehicle or boat, to completing a student history assignment, recording the deed and mortgage for a new home, seeking the intercession of the court to resolve civil issues, selecting a business name, submitting an application for a passport,or even a pistol permit,or in one's later years placing on record a Power of Attorney to ensure responsible care of personal matters...the list is seemingly endless!
The transactions processed by our office (more than 160,000 annually…even during a recession!) account for upwards of $10 million dollars in fee collection each year. While much of it is disbursed to the federal and state levels, nearly half will remain with Warren County and its municipalities to provide services well beyond the walls of the County Clerk’s Office and Warren County Department of Motor Vehicles!
To meet the needs of the public and to accomplish the duties and responsibilities set forth by law, I am tremendously grateful to and proud of our service providers…Deputy Sueanne Linehan, our experienced and committed fulltime staff throughout our several offices and dedicated special project employees. They are on the front line and do an incredible job each and every day!

Exit 20 of the Adirondack Northway (I-87)
From North: Turn left at the exit. Warren County Municipal Center straight ahead at the traffic light.
From South: Turn right at the exit, head south (1 minute!), turn left at the traffic light.
Upon entering the property, bear right and follow signs to County Clerk-DMV Public Parking. The parking lot is located at the south end of building and is handicap-accessible (ramp and designated parking provided.)
